Improve your personal Zoom video studio
How well your instructor can see and hear you (the student)when communicating with Zoom can make or break the session. Spend a little time (and maybe money) to make it as effective as possible.
Some things to consider...
- Make sure the lighting is adequate (illuminating the player and the guitar). Put lighting behind the camera or computer so it illuminates the student and guitar.
- Put the broadcast device (tablet or laptop, etc.) in a stable position, oriented so it shows player and guitar.
- Make sure the audio is turned up so it can be heard at the other end of the call.
Try turning off "Automatically adjust" in the Zoom audio settings.

Having clear audio is probably even more important than good video. Not being able to hear what the student is saying or playing makes it very difficult to conduct a productive lesson.Improve the audio of your tablet or laptop with a device like these...!
Try turning off auto adjust.
Experiment with the audio settings in Zoom. We find that setting your audio to automatically adjust may not be desirable.
